Gonna keep this short,

Chelle took me to Download fest coz the greatest band of all time FAITH NO MORE have reunited todo a Euro tour. It was fucking Awesome not just the band(s) but the whole weekend, I even got a tan it was that hot and sunny all the time we where there. We also met a load of really great people and have some new friends, saw lots of funky random stuff. if you want see pic's and vids mostly of the bands check out my facebook also a list of the bands we saw.

As an added Bonus Faith No More are playing the corn exchange on the 25th Aug and we where lucky enough to get tickets before they sold out ;DDD

4 Years Yesterday

Chelle and I celebrated our 4 year Anniversary yesterday, time flys when your in love. We where woken by a inter florist delivery with a dozen red roses, pink champagne and chocolates i'd ordered for Chelle. We then went out for lunch tho it was early enough to be our breakfast then went back home for a lovely day alone together. We had a very nice day possibly our best anniversary yet.

Does any have or know of an old OSCILLOSCOPE anywhere that i could have or buy really cheap Please? i'm doing abit of circuit bending on an old Yamaha PSS 570 and the more 'toys' i have the better, got a multi meter on order should arrive in a day or two,. Yay.

Chelle and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary today!!!

We're having a mellow one as the past few days have been really busy just spending the day together no interruptions, when for nice walk with mouse in the sun was great just the 3 of us.

Yay my second visuals gig ran so effin well, first of, the Scum boyz where so organized set up was finished within a couple of hours, a first i think??? Back2Back switching visuals with Dready Sam, well what can i say it looked really good, i cant wait for the next gig as it went so well, and I learned few new things i'll do next time to make my picture perfect output go even better ;) Beats where fast and hard wit a lil mellow to the mix with the right amount of craziness for the hardcore happy crowd.

Walking past Blockbuster video last night and to my utter disgust i see in the window a poster for World Trade Center!!!!on dvd. Now i'M really sorry for those of whom who lost their lives and loved ones in the disaster but just HOW MACH CAN AMERICA FIT IT'S SELF UP IT'S OWN ASS?

I know lets make a film about what happened in Dunblane on 13 March 1996.... i think not!!!! or how about how America was colonized and it's land raped and the native people slaughtered, or how about a lil diddy about president who signs his soul off to the devil and the dollar bill and who ever else whats a piece for a price?

Cor blimey, I taste like Tea.

I am a subtle flavour, quiet and polite, gentle, almost ambient. My presence in crowds will often go unnoticed. Best not to spill me on your clothes though, I can leave a nasty stain. What Flavour Are You?

How cool i drink tea all day, i'd have one of those big urns next to me when i'm on my pc if i thought i could. :)

Well everything went really well though there were a few nikups, first there was the van clutch cable breaking just after we got off the ferry on Arran which was really lucky so we got towed to the to the venue which was Brodick town hall, and was fixed the following day.

Lovely venue holds up to about 250 people and has a pretty posh balcony and a stage that would rival a few drama societies. Set up with finished with in a few hours with help from Tom but the lighting desk was i bit harder to figure out since i'd never used one to like it before, did almost freak me out at one point.

On the first night there was a solo artist on guitar and singing he was really good followed by the main act Makinky who also where really good but did talk too much between each songs. Due to the limited knowledge of the desk i kept it really simple just fadng to different colours and setting a mood for each song. I also got a big thank you from Steve from Malinky from making him feel like a rock star.

Second nigh there was an older gentleman who even though he turn up late still expecting a sound check ended up being pretty good and apparently used to write songs for the BBC he was frollowed by the Average Folk Band who where really amazing a got loads of people up dancing including Chelle though she didn't get much of a choice with Dawn the promoter draging her up to dance which was good. By this time i'd figured out a few more controls on the desk so saw able to make it a bit more funky then a night before plus the band where more up lifting the the prevous night.

After the gig finished Tom and i took everything down and packed up the van with in an hour. we had a few Arran beers, smoked a spliff then was off bed to get in te next day to drive back to glasgow to drop off the van and equimment then bus it back to Edinburgh and get our puppy back from Rob and Olivia who where looking after him while we where away.

Looking at some of the film we took of the second night gives me idea's of what i'd do differently it was a great experiance being solo in a way, even though Tom was there he's still a sound tek not a lampy but it would not of been as quick a set up and my confidence would not been as good if he'd not been there. I can see the miskates i did over the weekend and have learned a whole lots more cant wiat for my next light job to come next.

Also after having to get Chelle to drive the transit van she's decided thats she's fallen in LOVE and that instead of getting a car we're going to get a van.

I've got another lighting gig but this time i'm in charge!

Gotta travel through to Glasgow, pick up a van full of lighting equipment driver down to Irvine thet get a ferry across to Arran, where i've got to do the lighting for some fock music weekend at some pub somewhere not know exactly where yet. Going to be getting payed £400 for the 2 night gig. Chelle's being my driver since i don't have a diving licence and i'm giving Tom £100 for helping with lifting and to give me abit more confidence as there will be noonce to back me up that i usually work with.

Wish me luck, but i shouldn't need it!
